Do I need to send the original ECU?

Yes — for a clone job we need both the donor ECU (the one holding the correct data) and the target unit (the virgin or salvage ECU you want written to). If you only have the donor, call us first; some units can be read via OBD or bench tools and the target sourced separately.

Will the cloned ECU need coding to the vehicle?

No. That is the whole point of cloning — we write the exact ISN, immobiliser data, and calibration from the donor to the target unit so the vehicle starts and runs without any dealer coding. It is a true plug-and-play replacement.

What is the turnaround time for ECU cloning?

Most jobs are completed the same day they arrive and returned on the afternoon courier. Worst case is the next working morning. We aim for 24-48 hours from receipt to dispatch — tracked return shipping is included as standard.

Do you clone EDC17 ECUs?

Yes. We clone the full range of Bosch EDC17 diesel ECUs including EDC17C06, C35, C41, C50, C56, C66, C76, CP01, CP02, CP09, CP45, CP46, CP49, and CP57 across BMW, Mercedes, and VW Group platforms. If your part number is not listed, call us — the list grows regularly.

Pick the ECU or DME cloning service, fill in the form with the part number and vehicle VIN, then pay via PayPal — or request a manual invoice on a trade account.

Pack & post

Wrap both units (donor and target) in anti-static bags, bubble wrap, and a sturdy box. Royal Mail Special Delivery or DPD/Parcelforce tracked. Include your order reference on a slip inside.

Back on the courier

Both units returned the same day they arrive — or next morning at the latest. Tracked return shipping included as standard. The cloned unit is ready to fit straight away.
